I was previously using the Acase(TM) Superleggera sunset fit case foriPhone 4 with 2 Screen Protector (Orange) AT&T Only, but decided that it was time to give another case a try, especially another case under $10. Here are a few quick likes and dislikes about this case:LIKES ========================== + Made from thicker "rubbery" plastic (thermoplastic polyurethane as another reviewer pointed out), which makes the phone feel well protected + Larger than average cut-out for the camera hole, which eliminates the problem some users have reported when using the flash on some other cases + Apple logo is visible on the back, which may be a plus for some + All the major functions of the phone are accessible with the case in place + The edge of the protector comes up the side and over the front of... Does NOT accomodate HQ cables/phones, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: AmazonBasics Protective TPU Case with Screen Protector for AT&T and Verizon iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S (Smoke) (Wireless Phone Accessory) By popular demand I've chosen to rewrite this review. It's important to note right off the bat that if you've invested in High Quality cables or headphones then in order for them to work with this case the case either needs to be modified or you need an adapter, which will probably defeat the HQ. If you don't care about that then skip to the next paragraph. The hole in the case for the 3.5mm jack is only 5/16" in diameter, meaning your cable harness needs to be 4/16" or smaller. See my User Uploaded Image for a visual of what I'm talking about. In my large collection of high dollar cables and phones, none will fit. This is why it can be a 1 star. If I had not used my dremmel tool to bevel the hole wider then I would have chucked this case straight in the trash. Even if you do have high dollar cables I recommend doing the mod if you can because I'd rather have my barely noticeable modification on this case than have to deal with other cases that I don't like as much... I've had a number of cases for my iPhone 4 so far and this is by far my favorite. I always thought I liked the soft rubber cases better but after using this case I have to say that this is much more convenient. The surface of the case retains the hard feel of the iPhone itself which is really nice, and it also makes it very easy to slip in and out of a pocket (the softer cases sometimes create a lot of friction and are harder to put away or get out). Also the case is formed exactly to the shape of the phone so the phone doesn't ever slip out of the case (which is an issue I had with one soft case).The only drawback is that the hard case makes the phone almost incompatible with my alarm clock radio - the solid extension of the case on the bottom makes it so it almost can't connect (which means it won't charge or play music through the speakers). If I push the phone down just right it works, but it's not as seamless as it was with the softer cases. This isn't a fault of the... Read more |
